The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team based at our exciting state of the art Edinburgh site. The position is available for the right candidate to commence immediately!
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Wall & Floor truss lines, managing labour, schedules, output and quality. You'll work closely with the Site Manager, Frame & Truss Manager and Transport team to ensure efficient production and customer satisfaction. You must prioritize safety, optimize site functions and inspire a safe and practical work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Drive an improved safety culture and hold leaders and team members accountable. Safety must be at the forefront of everything we do!
Lead daily operations across the Wall & Floor lines
Provide effective workforce planning and job scheduling to meet tight deadlines
Drive output and quality, ensuring we are servicing our customers with on time and in full product
Be effective at managing people, including team member lifecycle processes, as well as proactively dealing with grievances or team member queries within the Wall & Floor line areas
Play a role in keeping team members up to date with safety training and procedures
Provide leadership and mentorship to your team
Ensure plant and equipment is maintained and operational, ensuring minimal downtime
Liaise with Transport, Design, Production Managers, and Sales/Service team for alignment
This role would ideally suit someone with the below skills and attributes:
Proven experience in a Senior Leadership role within the manufacturing or building industry
Proven experience in driving high level output and quality product
Proven experience in effectively managing a medium to large sized team
Experience in leading teams and proven ability to monitor, mentor and assist team members in their development journey.
Proficient in scheduling medium to large production facilities
Ability to prioritize and multi-task priorities whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
A continuous improvement mindset
Strong communication skills (both verbally and written) with the ability to negotiate successful outcomes.
