Join a well-established Australian manufacturing company that manufactures a range of “made to order” manufactured products and solutions for their customers in the residential and commercial building sector. The Company continues to be successful by delivering and installing a quality range of products, providing solutions to their customers, and maintaining their commitment to providing an exceptional level of customer service.
As one of the Companies Branch Managers – based on the Southside of Brisbane - you will be involved in managing this medium-sized business profit centre. This will entail leading the team to achieve set company objectives including sales revenue and profit margins, managing all controllable expenses, all operational KPI’s (including manufacturing, distribution, installation, administration, safety), and overall focusing on ensuring that the Branch continues to expand and maximize their business opportunities. You will be proactive in the marketplace by taking the lead, driving sales and marketing initiatives to increase sales and market share in the Region – as well as improving on the company’s operational process and systems (production and installation). You will call on a range of customers including Residential and Commercial Builders, Trade Contractors, building key relationships in the market, and fostering a strong sales and customer service environment.
As a proven and successful “Hands on” Manager you will: have worked in medium to large sized manufacturing businesses ($10M+) in the building products industry ideally in a “made-to- order” product - residential and commercial – ie windows and doors, or frame & trusses, or roofing etc.. You will demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of the building & construction industry, have experience in the management of personnel in manufacturing, fabrication / assembly, and installation businesses. You will demonstrate being able to provide a strong sales focus by proactively targeting new customers and continuing to build strong relationships with existing customers and providing strong sales management and a focus on sales and strategic growth ultimately growing the Branches’ sales revenue and market share particularly in the commercial sector. Further, you will foster a safety environment, drive continuous improvement in production, systems and processes, be commercial, financial, understand “the drivers” in business, have strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, know how to manage, develop and motivate a team, be “hands on” proactive and energetic, results oriented, a great problem solver, and most of all resilient.
