Your Hobart Doctor is seeking a proactive and experienced Lead Nurse to guide our nursing team across both our established general practice and our additional Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

The Role
As Lead Nurse, you will:
Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing staff across both general practice and urgent care
Oversee all aspects of clinical care delivery, including chronic disease management, triage, immunisations, care plans, wound care, and acute presentations
Ensure excellence in infection control, clinical governance, and RACGP accreditation readiness
Lead team rostering, recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, and ongoing professional development
Collaborate closely with GPs, the Practice Leader, and allied health staff to coordinate effective, patient-centered care
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, audits, and protocol development
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated leadership or management experience is essential, with the ability to inspire, support, and guide a clinical team
Minimum 3 years of experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency/acute care settings
Strong clinical knowledge and skills in patient assessment, chronic disease management, and preventive health frameworks
Excellent communication, team-building, and organisational skills
Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Best Practice software and quality improvement processes (desirable)
