About the Role
Approach Consulting has partnered with Electro Optic Systems (EOS), a leading ASX-listed Defence Technology & Engineering firm. EOS are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager. This role will be integral to ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the company's success, by providing effective financial control, accurate and timely reporting and valuable decision support to achieve the business's financial and operational goals within a growing company.

The role will initially lead a small ACT-based financial accounting team and support the Group Financial Controller in delivering month-end reporting responsibilities, reconciliations, compliance, insurance, monthly and annual financial reporting, tax and preparation / review of half-year and annual documentation for external audit.
The role also includes preparation and review of half-year and full-year accounts for external audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the multi-national, consolidated financial reporting for the group, including monthly financial reporting and all statutory financial reporting within tight deadlines.
• Ownership of multi-national monthly management reporting, including analysis of actuals, variances, risks and opportunities.
• Preparation of half-year and year-end reporting submissions, workpapers and reconciliations.
• Preparation of ad-hoc analytics, reports and requests for informed decision making.
• Manage the maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations of all subsidiary ledgers and monthly reporting processes and procedures.
• Provide analysis to support unit pricing, margin, inventory levels, tender proposals, annual recurring revenue, unit economics and customer churn decisions.
• Financial reporting ownership in ERP finance systems.
• Actively manage and improve key monthly processes across the global group, to deliver a high standard of hygiene and high quality consolidated financial data.
• Manage the taxation function including liaison with outsourced service providers.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• All other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA/CPA qualification is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in managing finance teams and delivering high-quality financial reporting in a complex, multi-national environment.
