Cairns Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Membership and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This exciting and diverse role blends customer service, membership management, and marketing creativity to enhance the experience of our current members and attract new ones.

You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for membership and event inquiries, manage communication channels, and help deliver a strong calendar of club events. Working closely with our Clubhouse, On Course, and Pro Shop teams, you'll play a vital role in promoting our club’s brand, supporting member engagement, and delivering top-tier experiences.

This is a full-time, onsite role with regular hours from Tuesday to Saturday. Flexibility is essential, as occasional work outside these days may be required to support major events, tournaments, and club activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage membership administration including inquiries, nominations, sign-ups, renewals, and updates.

Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person communication.

Support marketing initiatives by creating newsletters, promotional graphics, and social media content.

Create engaging social media content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to drive engagement and club visibility.

Manage and update the club’s website and social media presence.

Assist with stock management for the bar and Pro Shop, including stocktake procedures.

Help manage budgets, event expenses, and financial admin including cash handling and banking.

Assist with basic financial tasks including invoicing, reporting, and reconciliation.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience in a membership, marketing, or events coordination role—ideally within a club, golf, or hospitality setting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.

Creativity and confidence in using Canva and basic design tools.

Social media and website management skills.

Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

A collaborative, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn about golf and club culture.

Experience using Xero or similar financial/accounting software (preferred).

Experience with MiClub & MiMembership Golf Software or the ability to learn quickly.

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (required).

Current Queensland Driver’s Licence and a valid Police Check (or ability to obtain).

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and club events when needed.
