About the role:

Capecare is seeking two passionate and experienced Chefs to lead our hospitality team in providing exceptional meal services to residents across both our 110-bed, Busselton, and 80-bed, Dunsborough facilities.

Reporting directly to the Hospitality Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving quality whilst creating a welcoming team and well-maintained environment for our lovely residents.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef who is seeking a greater work-life balance, with a Monday–Friday AM roster and minimal weekend or after-hours requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional food services to residents while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Responsible for overseeing key compliance activities related to food safety, workplace health and safety, and quality standards.

Manage stock control and kitchen supplies.

Oversee dietary management to ensure meals meet residents’ needs and requirements.

Manage food and kitchen costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

About You:

Previous experience as a Catering Manager or Chef in Aged Care settings is desirable but not essential.

Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications.

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices in line with aged care standards.

Familiar with the diverse dietary needs of an age care facility.

Ability to work a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment.
