Your responsibilities include:
- Leveraging cloud platforms for scalable and automated data pipelines to facilitate faster data delivery.
- Build and package researcher-ready datasets that are relevant, accurate, and validated, empowering researchers with trusted Cloud based data platform for discovery.
- Using AI and ML based data services to automate data quality monitoring and correction to maintain high data reliability.
- Design and automate survey data pipelines using Python/R and Cloud Data services (Preferably AWS Glue and Athena) to seamlessly handle structured and unstructured data - such as photos, videos and PDFs.
- Automate data profiling and generate quality assurance reports with key metrics, leveraging visualization tools to pinpoint challenges, reveal insights and proactively resolve issues swiftly.
- Create a proactive metadata system at the survey design stage, crafting researcher-friendly resources - data dictionaries, ontology mappings and deduplicated datasets - tracked with version control (e.g. Git).
What we need from you:
- High-quality work experience and tertiary qualification (Honours, Masters or PhD) in computer science, data science, statistics, epidemiology health informatics or public/clinical health or equivalent, as evidenced by academic transcripts
- Strong skills in curating, managing health or epidemiological data from large surveys or longitudinal research
- Experience in using Cloud Data Services (preferably AWS) and Python/R to build data and metadata pipelines
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, to foster stakeholder relationships and deliver clear, timely outcomes
- Proven ability to multitask, manage time effectively, solve problems and excel independently or in collaborative teams
