Overall purpose of the Division

The Corporate Services Business Unit, incorporating the Business Operations Team, ensures that we build a thriving organisation where our people, governance and systems are engaged, equipped, and supported to advance our mission and achieve optimal organisational performance.

Overall purpose of position

Data and related ICT systems are the backbone that supports Stroke Foundation in achieving its mission. Through use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, we make it possible to engage with our stakeholders. Any failure in these systems exposes the organisation to significant risk and business disruption.

This is a newly established position which will be required to set up new data systems, governance frameworks, and document policies and procedures.​

Reporting to the National Manager, Business Operations, the CRM, and Insights Manager is responsible for:

  • Organising and improving management of secure enterprise data and its transformation to business insights
  • Business analysis and project management of CRM and data initiatives
  • Creating capabilities in the use and deployment of CRM (e.g., Salesforce and Marketing Cloud) and data management tools within a secure cloud environment
  • Establish CRM and data strategy, architecture, governance, and standardisation
  • Increasing data analytics, business intelligence, and strategic reporting capabilities

Key responsibilities

  • Support implementation of an integrated advocacy plan to engage the community and key stakeholders (internal and external) in the organisation's mission.
  • Establish and lead new CRM and Insights capability
  • Manage existing CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketing Cloud), and establish data systems that generate insights (e.g., Power BI or new tools)
  • Develop central data management framework by collating and making sense of data across various business units
  • Document data sources, develop processes and procedures that will support new CRM and central data management capabilities
  • Provide technical oversight and input reviewing Stroke Foundation CRM data and sources managed by third parties
  • Generate dashboard information and insights from data sets, identifying trends and patterns. Develop enterprise reports and visualisation on Stroke Foundation's performance
  • Setup and perform regular data integrity and quality audits. Maintain accuracy and integrity of Information Assets Register
  • Lead existing Salesforce and data working group activities
  • Ensure data management practice is aligned and compliant with the Privacy Act & Australian Privacy Principles
  • Ensure data management follows industry good practices and supports current information (cyber) security policy and controls in Stroke Foundation.

Your background, skills, and experience

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT Engineering, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Intelligence, or business or information related field (desirable)
  • Certifications in Salesforce (Advanced) Administrator, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, and any Salesforce Architect (desirable)

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in managing Salesforce products, centralised data and reporting capabilities, preferably including setup from ground up
  • Previous experience Implementing data management software (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or recommended software integrated with Salesforce) in a cloud environment (desirable)
  • Salesforce CRM Non-profit Success Pack or Non-profit Cloud administration experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis and project management or hands-on technical lead in implementing and maintaining Salesforce, business intelligence, data science, and reporting initiatives
  • Significant experience and understanding data sources and requirements of diverse stakeholders
