Project Land Advisor
The Project Land Advisor position is within Horizon Power's Decarbonisation team, which is dedicated to integrating renewable energy solutions, including solar farms, wind power, and battery energy storage systems, into Horizon Power's energy generation portfolio.
The role's focus is to identify and acquire, in consultation with relevant subject matter experts, suitable land for projects involving renewable energy. The role will need to engage with internal and external stakeholders in progressing identification and acquisition of land.
This is permanent position subject to probation period.
Your new role will:
- Work with projects and cross business and external stakeholders to identify land for new energy systems involving renewable solutions in the form of land and property proposed transactions.
- Evaluate land assessments, due diligence, analysis of options, implement project land strategy and acquisition pathway
- Execute land and property activity planning to commit to assessment, evaluation and acquisition steps.
- Drive land and property access pathway for short listed sites, mapping interdisciplinary activities such as communications, engagement, consultancy work and prepare for execution with specialist resources.
- Review and ensure accurate land and property related change requests are reflected in project activities.
- Maintain accurate records of land and property assessment, communications and transactions.
- Support management in growing relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders including local government to support the delivery of land and property access.
- Provide inputs to business cases and Executive updates
- Understand and contribute to project scope, schedule and budgets as they relate to land and property acquisition
You will preferably have:
- A bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, law, town planning, or some practical experience working in property and land.
- Experience working on projects with strong understanding of dependencies and commitment to project objectives.
- Commercial land experience.
- Land access experience across Crown land, freehold and leasing.
