The Role: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and oversee project planning and delivery, ensuring excellence in time, cost, quality, and communication. You will work closely with our Directors, Clients, project stakeholders, and consultants to drive project success across the entire lifecycle, from feasibility and procurement through to construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic project advice at conception, including guidance on delivery methods and stakeholder engagement.
Establish success criteria for projects, incorporating time, cost, quality, and performance measures.
Develop and oversee project governance, ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
Manage project planning and scheduling, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Lead procurement strategies, including contractor selection, contract drafting, and negotiation.
Administer contracts, including but not limited to: AS2124, AS4902, AS4905, AS4916, and AS4917.
Facilitate design management and value engineering processes to enhance project efficiencies.
Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
Monitor project finances, provide cost control oversight, and manage progress claims, variations, and EOTs.
Act as the Principal’s Representative and/or Superintendent under construction contracts.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement, managing communications between clients, contractors and authorities.
Oversee quality control, site inspections, and defect management throughout construction and the defects liability period.
Prepare and present project reports, including client PCGs, monthly Project Management/Superintendent reports, financial assessments, and risk evaluations.
Identify new business opportunities, contribute to proposals, and participate in client pitches.
Qualifications & Experience:
5-10 years’ experience in project management and/or construction management.
Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to post-construction.
Experience managing medium-to-large-scale construction projects of moderate to high complexity.
Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, including but not limited to: AS2124, AS4902, AS4905, AS4916, and AS4917.
Proven ability to lead project teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Strong financial and cost management skills, including budget control and reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the Australian construction market, with knowledge of local regulations and approval processes.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and associated tools.
Proficiency in project management tools, including but not limited to MS Project and MS Excel.
Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
