CBR Recruitment is delighted to partner with the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC). The FRDC is a leading government owned corporation committed to investing in research, development, and extension to ensure the sustainability and innovation of Australia’s fishing and aquaculture sectors.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Communications Officer who will create and deliver communication material and activities that communicate to stakeholders what FRDC does and how its investment in RD&E underpins current practice and future opportunities to solve problems for the fishing and aquaculture sectors and the community. Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Manager, responsibilities include:
Assisting the communications area to provide a range of communication services to FRDC staff and stakeholders including assisting project managers develop project material (stories, publications, media articles), publications, digital/social media content and collateral.
Fostering relationships and engaging with stakeholders.
Delivering a range of communication and engagement activities. For example, writing material for articles, publications and digital media platforms based on scientific evidence and research.
Website and CRM management.
Coordinating a range of events and workshops, and
Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Stakeholder Engagement team.
Essential Criteria:
Strong content production skills and experience.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Persuasive writing skills with competence in tailoring messaging to specific audiences.
High level interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Strong technical proficiency.
Australian citizenship.
