The Role
As the Digital Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Media and Communications to execute the Vinnies Queensland digital communications plans through a variety of digital platforms. These will include social media, traditional media and email. You will also work to engage others within the Society to source highly engaging content including retail marketing content to share and highlight across these platforms.
The role will evaluate the effectiveness of current digital assets, review issues and opportunities and provide recommendations for future improvement. You will also coordinate key stakeholder relations and escalate issues promptly and professionally, ensuring effective and prompt results.
The Digital Communications Officer will ensure all marketing and communications across the Society’s internal and external channels are presented to a high standard, delivered on time and on message, in line with the Society’s brand guidelines.
Your role will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator and Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator, to deliver their social and digital marketing plans across the Society’s digital assets.
This is a Permanent, Full- time Position (38 hours per week) based in our State Administration Office in South Brisbane.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will consider yourself a digital and social media expert! You pick up technology and navigate new systems with ease, and you are happiest working in a team. You are creative and a strong communicator (both written and verbal). You will have a minimum of 1 years industry experience with tertiary qualifications in marketing or communication.
You will demonstrate a high level of competency in digital media including Social Media, be highly organised and able to execute plans within set timeframes and can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Candidate experience using platforms and software such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress and Social Media tools while not crucial would be advantageous.
To be successful in this role, you will also have an understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
