About the role

As a Building Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of a premium residential apartment building located in the vibrant Southbank suburb of Melbourne. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning and exceptional standard of living for the residents, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the building's maintenance and repair activities, including coordinating with external service providers

Monitoring and managing the building's budget, service contracts, and database

Addressing resident queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Organising and participating in regular building inspections and reporting on any issues

Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and building policies

Supervising and managing the building's staff, including concierge, cleaners and security personnel

Implementing and overseeing sustainable initiatives to improve the building's environmental performance

Fostering a positive and collaborative community atmosphere among residents

Attend Owners Corporation meetings

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a building/facilities management role, preferably in a residential setting

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and building management best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, contractors, and stakeholders

Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

A customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for providing exceptional service
