Procurement Lead – Snowy 2.0 (Onshore)

Location: Cooma, NSW (Hybrid/FIFO Options)
Salary: $200,000 – $240,000 + Super + Bonus
Reporting to: GM Commercial & Contracts (SH2.0)

Snowy 2.0 is Australia’s largest renewable energy project – a bold vision delivering 2,200 MW of dispatchable power and 350,000 MWh of energy storage. As a cornerstone of the nation’s clean energy transition, it’s already reshaping the landscape – literally and figuratively.

We’re looking for a Procurement Lead to manage the team and take charge of onshore sourcing activities across this landmark initiative.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and lead the onshore procurement strategy for the erection of turbines, generators, hydraulic steel structures, BoPe and BoPm.
• Own the procurement lifecycle from tendering to contract negotiation, award, and delivery.
• Be the primary onshore interface for internal project teams, subcontractors, and the customer.
• Mentor and lead a capable team of Sourcing Managers and Procurement Officers.

Must-Have Experience:

• High level of experience in procurement of large E&M erection packages in the field of large construction projects.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 10+ years of senior-level procurement experience on major Australian infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with a background in contract negotiation and financial management.
• Leadership skills to manage people, processes, and project priorities under pressure.
