Their state-of-the-art facilities are designed to enhance both the patient and staff experience, creating a seamless and supportive environment for exceptional care. They are now seeking an experienced Billings Officer to join their team in Bowen Hills.

About the Role & Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Practice Manager you will oversee the practice's comprehensive billing operations and financial management processes. The position involves managing aged debtors and outstanding accounts while efficiently processing Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) care plans, reports billing, and handling any DVA rejections and resubmissions, ensuring smooth practice operations across all financial touchpoints. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing Workcover, private, third-party, and DVA billings
• Performing regular Best Practice reconciliation
• Creating and maintaining billing manual documentation
• Producing detailed financial reports using Best Practice and Cubiko
• Conduct regular financial audits and implement continuous quality improvement
• Provide executive support to the leadership team as required

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Senior role such as Billings Officer or Practice Manager highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Private Health legislation for billing and entitlements
• Experience in Best Practice medical software essential
• Cubiko and Xero experience highly desirable
• Proactive in problem-solving and following issues through to resolution
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible and adaptable team player
• Resilient when making difficult decisions regarding outstanding debts
• Strong time management skills
• Full working rights in Australia
