MAYDAY Recruitment is currently working with a global leader in the logistics industry who is seeking an experienced Billings Officer to join a dynamic finance team based in Port Botany. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing company, reporting directly to the Billing Supervisor and working within a supportive finance team.

As a Billings Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and issuance of invoices. You will also be responsible for improving the customer experience by addressing billing inquiries and assisting with process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate preparation and issuance of invoices, including data entry into the accounting system
• Follow up on credit approval requests
• Prepare monthly GST reconciliation
• Liaise with customers to resolve billing issues and ensure satisfaction
• Assist in the improvement of billing systems and processes
• Implementation and updates to the Depot invoicing system
• Preparation of finance reports as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• WAVE system experience is an advantage
• Previous invoicing experience in a similar industry is preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach
• Good Excel skills are required; experience using Containerchain and Oracle is advantageous
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Significant data entry experience
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
