Your opportunity:
Our Digital & Information Group is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for proactive Digital Project Support Officer to join our newly established Digital Applications Programs team.
Digital & Information is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities' digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services.
Reporting to the lead, the Project Support Officer role is responsible for supporting Digital & Information (D&I) to successfully deliver large scale, complex projects involving Digital and Information management and ICT. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing systems and procedures to improve work practises and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of D&I.
It is essential the Project Support Officer role works collaboratively to provide effective administration and project support, maintaining accurate and up to date administrative and project information, systems, and records in accordance with Digital & Information requirements. The Project Support Officer role will place emphasis on demonstrating initiative, flexibility and self-direction whilst undertaking supporting tasks, ensuring effective day to day operations are maintained.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience working within an ICT project environment, including risk management, reporting, budgeting, and work package coordination.
- Project Management work experience with knowledge of project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2).
- Relevant Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 Foundation preferred) or equivalent.
- Strong communication, consultation, and facilitation skills, delivering clear and practical advice to customers in a project environment
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Team player with proven ability to build effective working relationships.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and customer service.
- Agile, innovative, and values-driven with strong decision-making skills.
