About the role

This is a full-time administrative and accounts support role based in our Banksmeadow, NSW office. As the Accounts Administrator / General Admin, you will play a crucial part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of Best Freight Services Pty Ltd.

What you'll be doing

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

Providing general administrative support, such as managing correspondence, filing, and data entry

Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements

Liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors or clients as needed via emails or phonecalls.

Contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative and accounting processes

Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Manage and maintain driver records

Perform any other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Provide administrative support to operations team.

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or accounts support role, preferably within the container transport or freight industry

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Proficiency in using accounting software and standard office applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach

A high level of numeracy and accuracy in financial record-keeping

Highly desirable - experience with XERO accounting software
