About the role

We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our close-knit team at Newcastle Family Practice. Experience is highly desired. Based in our comfortable Newcastle office, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment system

Handling patient enquiries, both in-person and over the phone

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Providing general administrative support to the clinical team

Ensuring a clean, tidy and welcoming reception area

What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist role is highly desired

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients from diverse backgrounds

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency with Best Practice and electronic record systems is highly desired but not essential

A friendly, professional and empathetic demeanour

A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
