Next Practice Albion is looking for a Medical Receptionist (or as well like to call them, Patient Advocates) of exceptional quality. We are a state of the art, built for purpose medical practice which opened in July 2020. Our sister clinic, Next Practice West End, opened in June 2022 in the vibrant West Village precinct. We are now looking for a Patient Advocate that can work at our Albion clinic.

So, what is a Patient Advocate (Medical Receptionist)?

A Patient Advocate is a special team member who is invested in going above and beyond, delivering emotionally intelligent customer service and patient care that aligns with our culture and values of creating centres of excellence in general practice.

The core purpose of your role as the Patient Advocate is to ensure the patient is supported throughout their Journey with Next Practice. You need to balance your knowledge and passion for patient centric care with managing the patient flow through the clinic. You are responsible for each patient receiving seamless and supportive care with a focus on health outcomes.

In summary, you need to be a friend, supervisor, confidant, health advocate, conflict resolution magician, assistant, booking agent and the list continues…

You should be flexible, empathetic, driven, hardworking, be a good listener and willing to work in a team. You should have an intrinsic desire to care for people, by nature, promise and skill.

You will need to have the natural ability to seamlessly support patients throughout their journey.

If you are dedicated to providing excellence and excited for the future of healthcare then we would like to hear from you! Tasks include:

Manage the workflow of the waiting room including welcoming patients, telephone enquiries and general administrative tasks

Guide the patient through pre consultation process

Assist the patient through the post consultation process

Be the first point of call for patient support and enquiry

General support for the multidisciplinary clinical team

Triaging patient needs

Support marketing and workshop strategies within the clinic
