We are expanding our operations in Australia and are currently recruiting a Payroll Officer.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

As a Payroll Officer, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, maintaining up-to-date employee records and ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements. You’ll handle payroll discrepancies, assist employees with payroll-related queries, and support the Finance and Human Resources teams to ensure seamless payroll operations. This role is essential to supporting employee satisfaction and compliance through meticulous data management and proactive issue resolution.

In your new role, you will:

• Accurately process fortnightly and monthly payroll, verifying working hours, pay rates, and leave entitlements.
• Maintain and update employee records within the payroll system, including tracking absences and managing leave.
• Provide timely responses to payroll inquiries and support employees in understanding their entitlements.
• Collaborate with accounting partners and senior management to ensure all payroll tax, PAYG, and statutory entitlements are finalised correctly.
• Perform payroll adjustments and manage changes to employment conditions, ensuring compliance with approvals and policies.
• Foster a safe and positive workplace by adhering to all relevant legislation and promoting a culture free from harassment and discrimination.
• Work independently, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality.

ABOUT YOU

You are a detail-oriented payroll professional with a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Your experience in payroll processing, data management, and employee relations allows you to maintain high standards and deliver a seamless payroll experience. With strong analytical skills and a proactive approach, you effectively handle payroll discrepancies and meet strict deadlines. Your proficiency in payroll systems, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are vital to supporting payroll functions and upholding compliance standards across the organisation.

To be successful, you will:

• Gain and retain all police/security clearances required within our industry.
• Pass any required health assessments.
• Travel interstate when required to meet business needs.
• Provide proof of double vaccination against Covid-19 with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
• Undergo alcohol and drug testing as required by the business.
