About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Food Technologist with a background in food manufacturing to join our dynamic team in West Footscray. In this critical role, you'll play a key part in new product development (NPD), improving existing products, and supporting food safety and quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and improve products from concept to launch

Conduct product shelf life testing and sensory evaluations

Create prototypes and production documentation (e.g., batch sheets, quality specs)

Ensure all NPD projects meet compliance and regulatory requirements

Support quality and process control systems across the business

Liaise with suppliers and customers on technical matters

Lead investigations into product issues and support HACCP reviews

What You’ll Need to Succeed

✔ 2–3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
✔ Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field
✔ Strong understanding of food safety, microbiology, allergens, and quality systems
✔ Experience with sensory evaluation and manufacturing processes
✔ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
✔ Attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
✔ Familiarity with product labelling legislation and compliance
