We are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers and are looking for a dedicated Production Engineer to join our team in food packaging production line.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Production Engineer at Sabrini Foods, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our in-house production processes, which include managing packaging machines and operating in two shifts. Your key duties will include:

Process Design and Improvement of packing machinery equipment: Develop and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Packaging Operations: Manage the equipment for dividing bulk products into consumer packs using packaging machines with shipping labels management.

Oversee the automatic conveyor process where bulk products are carried by a vertical conveyor belt to the packaging machines.

Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications.

Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of packaging machines to minimize downtime and ensure safety.

Project Management: Plan and manage production projects, including timelines, resources, and budgets.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth operations.

Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions for process improvements.

Cost Management: Monitor production costs and find ways to reduce expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards within the production environment.

Training and Development: Provide training and support to production staff to enhance skills and ensure efficient operations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production processes, changes, and improvements for compliance and review.

Key Accountabilities:

Monitor, operate and maintain packing equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality in compliance with established standards.

Collaborate with team members to achieve production and continuous improvement goals.

Conduct routine maintenance, repair equipment faults, install machinery and complete production tasks.

Monitor and manage packing quality and blend formulation to ensure consistent and high-quality product output.

Follow production plans and monitor throughput to meet production targets efficiently while optimizing resource use.

Forecast production process of by-products and generate reports to assist in resource planning.

Conduct regular testing of wheat, maize, and flour to meet company and customer quality standards.

Complete all Critical Control Point (CCP) and quality checks, ensuring accurate documentation.

Follow all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures. Identify and report safety issues within the mill and the broader workplace to maintain a safe working environment.

Ensure all packing operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Work closely with other departments, including quality control, maintenance, and operations teams, to achieve goals.

Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, including production logs and quality reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

At least 2 years proven experience in production engineering and management, preferably in the food industry.

Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.

Ability to train and develop production staff.
