Night Shift Operations Manager

About the Company:

Our client is one of the largest food distributors in Australia.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will head up the processing department and oversee distribution to ensure the highest quality standards. This position is responsible for a team of 30 operating from 10pm to 6 am daily. Your duties will include:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of food processing / production
• Work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure the required operational goals, objectives and KPIs are achieved
• Work hand in hand with the Quality and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with HACCP standards including the development of documented policies and procedures that must be followed
• Drive continuous improvement to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Manage performance of the team and team leaders
• Actively engage in HACCP audits and corrective actions as required.
• Liaise with internal divisions to smoothly integrate with warehouse procedures, inventory accuracy, purchasing needs, logistics and our customer service team

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Strong leadership experience within FMCG or distribution, particularly process driven environment.
• Great interpersonal skills to be able to lead, coach and mentor your team
• Seafood knowledge
• Solution focused, data driven, fostering new ideas and initiatives
• A collaborative and inclusive approach to communication with all stakeholders
• An ability to drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• High level of understanding of Food Quality Standards
• Attention to detail and time management skills
• Good computer and written communications skills, Excel skills
