About the role
We are seeking Technical Assistant to join our dedicated laboratory team within the busy Biochemistry/Haematology department within our Core Laboratory at our Adelaide Airport Facility.
The position will be:
Part Time
Day and Evening work
Specific duties include:
Ensure that all company WH&S requirements are observed
Maintain a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment
Maintain and operate automated laboratory analysers
Assist in reagent, quality control and calibration material preparation and management
The ability to prioritise specimens through interpretation of referrals and clinical notes
The ability to determine the correct sample requirements for the tests requested
Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients
Skills and experience:
Relevant experience working in a pathology laboratory an advantage
Previous experience with automated equipment an advantage
High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment
An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Available to work as flexible roster, including weekends and public holiday
