Pacific Helicopters, a leading provider of helicopter services for oil, gas, mining, construction and telecommunications companies in the Asia Pacific region, is seeking a Deputy Quality and Safety Manager to join our dedicated team and help maintain and continually improve our safety and quality performance.

The role is touring to and from Goroka, Papua New Guinea, with a 4 week on, 4 week off roster.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).

Lead internal audits, inspections, and safety investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.

Conduct risk assessments and actively participate in risk management strategies.

Facilitate safety meetings, training and awareness programs.

Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and industry standards.

Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and senior management on quality and safety matters.

Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organisation.

Required experience:

Safety and Quality Management experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality or safety management role, preferably within the aviation industry; or

A minimum of 5 years of experience within the aviation industry.

Strong knowledge of ICAO standards and risk management principles.

Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis and report writing.

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems.

Desirable experience:

Certification in auditing (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001).

Aviation SMS training.

Knowledge of IOGP 690 standards.

Helicopter pilots license or helicopter LAME license.

Familiar with operations in challenging or remote environments.
