About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional fulltime Assistant Bar & Functions Manager to join our family. You will assist our Bar Manager to oversee the sale of liquor in our 5 themed bars and 2 function spaces within a total licenced area of around 10,000m2. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone that thrives on success and challenging work and able to commit to weekend work. There is a huge opportunity for someone who is driven to take charge and help us grow the business in one of the most dynamic establishments in Brisbane. We need you to lead and inspire your team. This is a hands-on role taking charge of service plus also being responsible for controlling labor and operating expenses.

Duties and Responsibilities

A high attention to detail and customer experience

A proactive hands-on approach to motivate and manage a successful team

Strong time management skills and the ability to succeed in a high-volume environment

Proven experience in leading and developing staff with the ability to own and resolve issues

Experience in rostering staff effectively

Good understanding of stock control and beer reticulation

Put forward and implement innovative ideas including creative promotions/events/functions

Must be available to work on event days/hours, Friday and Saturday 4pm to 10pm and Sundays 4pm to 9pm and other function days as booked

Skills and Experience

Must have a current Liquor Approved Manager's License with OLGR

A broad knowledge of and passion for the Hospitality Industry

Minimum of 12 month's experience managing or assisting to manage a busy bar

An understanding of cost controls

Knowledge of full procedural and legislative compliance including fire safety, hygiene and WH&S requirements.

Must be an Australian Resident
