About The Role – Bar Manager

Are you a passionate, high-energy bar professional ready to lead in one of Broadbeach’s newest and most exciting venues? Moreton Hospitality is looking for a Bar Manager.

As our Bar Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the high standards, creativity, and vibrant energy that will define our Broadbeach venues. You’ll work closely with our Cora Restaurant Manager, Public Bar Manager and Sales & Events Managers to deliver an unbeatable customer experience and a seamless operation. Your role includes everything from crafting cocktail lists and managing inventory to leading and inspiring a stellar bar team!

About the Venue:

Our newly renovated precinct, The Beach Hotel, is a true local pub, offering fresh, high-quality, and value-focused elevated pub fare. The renovations include an expansive beer garden dining area stretching across the entire Surf Parade street front, featuring all the beloved local sports bar amenities. New TAB facilities, wall-to-wall screens showcasing live sports, and a VIP luxury gaming lounge make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

On the northern side of the property, you'll find Cora Restaurant & Bar – a unique dining experience combining the innovation of modern Australian cuisine with fun and entertainment. Here, guests can enjoy an impressive back bar, world-class signature cocktails, and exciting twists on classic drinks that will keep them coming back for more.

At the rear of the precinct, The Club House offers a private dining and function room perfect for corporate and social occasions. An elevated dining experience is at the heart of what we offer, providing meaningful value and memorable experiences for our guests.

Precinct Bar Manager key responsibilities include:

Set the standard for service excellence across multiple venues, ensuring every guest leaves wanting more.

Lead, hire, and train a dynamic bar team that thrives in a high-energy, high-volume environment.

Develop inventive cocktail lists that showcase global trends and timeless classics.

Proven experience executing events: Ability to review and interpret event order details, manage bar setup with the required stock and custom drink selections, coordinate with events team, oversee service flow, and adjust staffing as needed.

Manage all beverage operations, from stock and purchasing to quality and inventory control.

Manage back of house areas including, cellar organisation, maintenance and co-ordinate cleaning.

Prepare rosters and budget labour costs, adapting to seasonal demands.

Perform financial reconciliations, including cash handling and balancing, to ensure accurate financial records.

Bring ideas to the table to drive revenue and enhance customer experiences.

Ensure our venues shine, with every bar area presented impeccably, every time.

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years in bar management within high-volume, high-end cocktail bars or multi-venue.

Expert cocktail and/or wine knowledge with a knack for creative menu development.

A natural leader ready to manage teams across multiple venues and achieve consistency through your own well-designed training programs and procedures.

High standards of organisation, a flair for customer interaction, and an eye for detail.

Ability to manage budgets, inventory, cost control, and financial reconciliations with precision.

Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
