Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager [Hunter Valley]
- Goldfish Bar and Restaurant
- Salary $65,000 plus super
- 1 x Full-time Positions [no split-shifts]

Goldfish Bar and Restaurant seeks an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to work in a fast-paced environment. Our team is an established one; we value our staff just as much as our loyal customers.
Summary of Position:
Organise and control the operations of the restaurant alongside the owner and Restaurant Manager to ensure a great dining experience for our patrons. Duties in brief include:
· be responsible in conjunction with the restaurant manager for quality control; making sure they are at the right standard and are presented correctly before they go out to the customer
· weekly meetings with management team and owner
· consistently monitor product and labor costs
· customer service and dealing with complaints
· explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations in the restaurant
· selecting and training of staff
· monitor and maintain POS system
· assist in new menu implementation
· assisting the restaurant manager with management duties as needed
· oversee the day-to-day running restaurant alongside, and in conjunction with the other Managers
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of at least 3-years experience as a FOH staff
- Previous experience as a supervisor/ manager
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
- A hands on approach to running the venue
- RSA
- own car and license as there is no public transport
Requirements
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OH&S Standards
- RSA
- A professional presentation and approach
- A passion for food and alcohol
- Ability to work closely with management to ensure the consistent high quality service is provided
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure
- Be available to work days, nights and weekends and have your own reliable transport
- An ability and desire to work morning, late evening and weekend shifts
- Bar/cocktail experience desired
