About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at Cibaria, Manly. This full-time role will see you play a pivotal part in the smooth and successful operation of our renowned beachside restaurant. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of managing our vibrant dining establishment.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service

Supporting the Restaurant Manager in strategic planning and decision making

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety are maintained

Providing excellent customer service and handling any customer complaints or feedback

Assisting with financial management tasks such as cash handling and reporting

Leading and mentoring the front-of-house team, providing coaching and development opportunities

Implementing and monitoring policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency

What we're looking for

At least 2 years' experience in a similar assistant or deputy manager role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach

Sound financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and KPIs

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent qualification
