We are looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to join the well established team at one of our Northern Suburbs coastal dining venues.
The Little Bay in Waterman’s Bay offers the best of relaxed coastal dining, with an uninterrupted ocean view.
The food menu changes seasonally, with a strong focus on local produce. The drinks list has an array of craft beers, local and international wines, and a bespoke cocktail list.
Summary of Job:
Looking for an energetic and passionate hospitality professional that is looking to make their next exciting career move.
The role is for a Full Time Assistant Venue Manager. The Venue trades 7 days per week, breakfast and lunch services. This is a true 38 hour working week with supportive owners and executive management team.
The structure of this position will see the AVM working daytimes (occasional evenings for functions and events may be required), including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with hiring, onboarding and rostering
Maintenance of stock levels; ordering and resolving any supplier issues, monthly stocktaking
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
Ensuring staff culture and team moral is always high
Communicating updates to processes and procedures efficiently and training staff closely when changes are implemented
Updating and maintaining POS system, including backend editing (ABACUS), and assisting on training staff on the system
Responding to bookings and event enquiries (assisting to manage the enquiries inbox and voicemail)
Foster a positive working relationship with the kitchen team
Ensure a smooth operational workflow of the venue, including the bar and coffee areas
Motivate and inspire the team to deliver high service standards, and to deal with conflict resolution with utmost professionalism
What you will bring to the Role
2-3 yrs experience as a Duty Manager or Assistant Venue Manager in a similar environment
An Unrestricted Approved Managers Card
Strong business acumen, KPI driven and results focused
Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
Barista and / or bar experience required
A passion for all things food and beverage
