About the role

Join the team at General Public Frankston as an Assistant Venue Manager. In this full-time role, you will be based in our epic venue in Frankston, supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this vibrant hospitality and entertainment establishment. Your exceptional leadership and customer service skills will be crucial in ensuring a positive experience for all our patrons.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Venue Manager in managing staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring efficient daily operations in both food and beverage, and entertainment offerings.

Providing exceptional customer service and resolving any customer inquiries or concerns

Monitoring inventory, stock levels, and ordering supplies as needed

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Supporting the planning and execution of events and promotions

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the overall success of the venue

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service orientation and conflict resolution abilities

Proficient in stock management, budgeting, and financial reporting

Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
