About the Role

We have partnered with a global engineering company who have work across a diverse range of commodities in the mining and mineral processing sectors.

They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their team in Perth.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Preparing 3D layouts and detailed drawings using Smart Plant 3D

Delivering high-quality design drafting aligned with project timelines and standards by coordinating team members, reviewing outputs, and producing clear, detailed design documents

Proactively identifying and resolving design or scheduling challenges in collaboration with the Lead Mechanical Engineer

Ensuring consistency in drafting practices and standards across projects by setting clear expectations and providing quality oversight

About you

This will suit an experienced design professional with a strong background in mechanical design within resource or industrial sectors. You also bring:

Proven experience in similar roles, particularly with plant layouts or bulk materials handling

Experience in crushing, grinding, flotation, slurry systems, agitation, pumping etc

Relevant TAFE qualification or equivalent to industry experience

Proficiency with Smart Plant 3D or similar design software is desirable
