About the Role

The Principal Risk Consultant plays a critical role, by providing strategic risk management advice, facilitating the adoption of robust risk and business continuity practices, and monitoring their effective implementation by the Department’s operational management.

About the Directorate

The Performance Assurance and Risk Directorate offers independent, objective assurance and risk management advice to the Director General, Corporate Executive, and the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC). This directorate oversees the Department’s internal audit activities, drives the development and integration of enterprise risk management across the Department, and conducts independent reviews of reportable deaths.

Have demonstrated significant experience in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and business continuity management in a complex organization.

Have advanced analytical and organisational skills with the ability to address the operational and strategic concerns of the Department and understand the broader business context.
