Working for a full service product consultancy, Melbourne based, established and fully bootstrapped, you will work for a group that enjoys genuine long term partnerships and being relevant to their clients’ journey, maximising the value from their digital and data investments.
As a beachhead for growth, and to support their trajectory, they are seeking experienced & passionate consultants to join their Advisory team. Working with enterprise level clients, you will perform within a cross functional team to innovate and deliver outcomes powered by a product mindset, design thinking and Agile delivery.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality analysis and recommendations to achieve engagement objectives
Conduct thorough research and analysis to unpack client challenges, synthesize complex information, and distil findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Present your insights in compelling ways that support client decision-making and drive measurable business outcomes.
Manage client stakeholders towards agreed outcomes
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels within client organisations. Facilitate alignment and buy-in across diverse groups, ensuring clarity around project objectives, deliverables, and responsibilities while navigating competing priorities or perspectives.
Produce insight-driven points of view based on client problem diagnosis
Lead the discovery and diagnosis phase of consulting engagements, using qualitative and quantitative inputs to identify root causes. Use these insights to craft informed perspectives that frame opportunities and provide strategic direction for clients.
Support sales and business development activities in new and existing clients
Collaborate with senior leaders to identify new opportunities within current accounts and support the pursuit of new clients. Contribute to proposals, pitches, and client presentations by defining strategic approaches, engagement models, and commercial rationale.
Manage engagement commercials
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure financial health and delivery efficiency. Identify risks early and take proactive steps to keep engagements on track and profitable. Collaborate with internal teams to manage scope and client expectations.
Mentor and supervise junior consultants
Provide day-to-day coaching, oversight, and quality assurance for junior team members. Create opportunities for skills development and growth, giving constructive feedback and supporting their professional development within the consultancy.
Requirements
Have minimum 7 years experience in a well-recognised consulting firm
Have expertise in how leading organisations drive value from digital and data investments
Familiarity with technology trends and emerging innovations
Comfort engaging with business leaders as well as technology and data experts
Skilled in using insight-driven consulting approaches to plan and deliver engagements
Analytically adept as solving problems using structured analysis (eg business cases)
Eager to be part of a small team on a growth trajectory and have impact on practice building
Thrive in a culture of collaboration, building strong relationships and partnerships internally and externally
