As a Reception Officer, you will provide high-quality customer service and essential admin and program support to residents, families, university staff, and contractors. As a key point of contact, you’ll assist with enquiries, share information about the residential community, and connect people with the right services - all while helping create a positive and inclusive living experience.

As a Reception Officer, you will:
- Consult with available sources to gather relevant information and seek the expertise and advice of other people as appropriate.
- Clarify expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines.
- Improve convenience and accessibility by providing a range of service options.
- Provide basic advice to clients and make appropriate referrals to other areas of the University as appropriate.
- Build productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post- certificate relevant work experience.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone and written communication.
- Experience providing services and support in a large organisation.
Special requirements:
- Regular work outside business hours is required, (24hr roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts Monday to Sunday).
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check.
- The position holder will be required to undertake warden training and perform the role of warden and/or head warden in cases of building evacuations or other critical incidents.
