An exciting opportunity exists to join our Water & Wastewater team in Tumut as the Team Member.

Primary Purpose
Contribute to the operational needs of the council by carrying out works to maintain open spaces, facilities and amenities.

1. Key components of this position will include:
   • Deliver operations of heavy plant, including rollers, trucks, water carts and loaders, to meet agreed service levels.
   • Deliver multi-skilled civil construction and maintenance works to meet agreed service levels.
   • Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity.
   
   Have you also the following:
   1. Contemporary knowledge and or relevant qualifications in the application of plumbing principles and practices.
   2. Demonstrated ability to work safely in a heavy labouring environment.
   3. Demonstrated ability to operate minor plant and equipment correctly and safely.
   4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
   5. Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
   6. Undertake or be tested for Hepatitis A & B and tetanus vaccinations
   7. You will be required to complete work in the plants every fourth (4th) weekend and be on call one (1) in every eight (8) weeks as required by the Team Leader Water & Wastewater, you will also be required to work some public holidays.
   8. Activley participate and complete weekend work in both the Water and Sewer plants as rostered.
   and or
   1. Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies Operation Certificate.
   2. Water Operator Qualifications and/or experience operating Sewer Plants/Water Plants with a commitment and ability to obtain required qualifications.
   3. Liquid Trade Waste Certificate.
   4. Confined Space Ticket.
   5. Class MR drivers’ licence
