Title: Team Member, Reserves & Sportsfields, Permanent - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week

Salary Range: $63268.37 to $73528.14 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Parks and Recreation is responsible for areas and facilities that add to the community’s enjoyment of Council developed spaces, to encourage and provide for passive and active reactional needs. Parks and Recreation includes the following functions:-

Recreation planning and management

Reserves and commercial centres maintenance

Sporting fields

Tree management

Asset planning and management

Business support and management

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include:

Operate a range of Reserves & Sports field maintenance equipment safely for the provision of operational service delivery

Autonomously or in a team deliver planned and reactive maintenance tasks to Open Space Assets ensuring well maintained open spaces

Complete administration tasks using computer based systems contributing to the organisations Reporting and Asset Management Systems

Maintain WHS&E standards complying with relevant standards and contribute to safety first principles

Actively collaborate with other Team Members to support and encourage a positive Team Culture

Extensive Skills and knowledge in using a wide range of Horticultural and Turf maintenance plant, equipment, and materials, including tractor and ride-on mower operations

Certificate II or III in Horticulture (Turf) or similar

Demonstrated experience and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
