Salary: $105,000 per annum plus superannuation

“Regional and rural communities deserve quality higher education opportunities to pursue their dreams, without the need to relocate.”

About Us

The Country Universities Centre (CUC) is a network of affiliated Regional University Study Hubs providing support, connection, and dedicated facilities for higher education students in regional communities.

CUC students benefit from being part of a local learning community, with opportunities to engage with peers, dedicated staff, and local industry. Through enhanced higher education access, regional people are empowered to shape vibrant and prosperous futures for themselves and their communities.

Country Universities Centre Hay is a not-for-profit community-driven organisation funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and co-located with TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre (CLC). CLCs offer more accessible and flexible training options to meet the needs of both students and employers, equipped with modern technology like simulations and virtual reality experiences. CLCs provide access to the latest in education and training, all while staying in your own community.

The Role

Are you passionate about increasing higher education access for regional people and create meaningful change in our communities? This is a highly rewarding and unique opportunity to join the CUC team in shaping the education landscape for students in the Hay region.

As Centre Manager, you will work with the Board of Directors and be supported by the CUC in implementing the strategic plan to increase access to higher education opportunities in the region. You will be integral to establishing the Centre and coordinating ongoing operations to promote and facilitate the success of the Centre to enhance the student experience. You will collaborate with the Connected Learning Centre on initiatives that are responsive to the needs of the community.

We Are Looking For

A self-starting, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about creating opportunities for regional and remote students;

The ability to engage with local students from diverse backgrounds and pursue key opportunities to support students to identify and achieve their academic goals;

An experienced collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships within the CUC network, the community, and with diverse external stakeholders to promote the CUC’s aims;

Excellent organisational and time management capability, combined with high-level computer skills; and

A dedicated individual with the agility to execute the strategic plan and manage the day-to-day running of the Centre.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
