The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
IUIH is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in accessing appropriate NDIS services where possible. The focus of the IUIH Disability service delivery team is to provide well-coordinated, quality disability services to eligible clients.
IUIH is expanding existing and developing NDIS programs designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to access disability services that meet their needs.
About the Role?
As a NDIS Payment Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering IUIH’s Disability Services teams’ finance systems to enable the IUIH Disability Services Team to meet its business objectives in line with the Action plan and established policies and procedures.
Within this role, you will be required to:
- Support the wider Disability Services team to ensure financial and administrative practices of the business unit are actioned and addressed in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparation of invoices, record all receipts and deposits via the bank statements and enter into IUIH’s accounting software and the Disability Services’ team’s CMS ensuring account and job codes are correct
- Monitor the receipt of all funding and identify and escalate any issues as appropriate
- Reconcile remittance advices received from NDIS plan managers and self-managed participants of the NDIS
- Liaise with Participants, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers and the NDIA to ensure on time payment of invoices.
- Managing payment requests compliant with the NDIS price guide and in accordance with participants’ NDIS plans.
About You?
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Criminal History Check
- Current QLD Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening Check) – required prior to your commencement
- Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Clearence) – required prior to your commencement
- Demonstrated experience in the NDIS Sspace, with a strong knowledge of the relevant legislation and guidelines (including NDIS Pricing Arrangements and operational guides).
Desirable, but not mandatory:
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
