About the Role
As the Pathways Support Partner, you’ll be assisting our animal welfare teams to manage shelter capacity via Animal Aids foster care network, rescue organisations and re-homing partners.
Key Responsibilities:
· In partnership with the HR Business Partner, source, onboard and oversee foster carers.
· Manage the foster care networks online social space and encourage community.
· Find suitable placements for animals requiring temporary foster care and assist our shelter teams to manage their journey through foster placement.
· Develop, build and maintain relationships with external adoption partners, such as pet stores to ensure animals are available for adoption at these locations.
· Coordinate and attend adoption events.
· Oversee the transport of animals to and from adoption hubs and other adoption centres, including coordinating with staff and volunteers, scheduling, and recording transfers.
· Work closely with management and other departments to achieve our organisational goals.
About You
· A real "people person" with a background in company representation or sales, who is enthusiastic about building relationships with foster carers, adoption partners, and other stakeholders.
· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple placements, schedules, and tasks.
· Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners, ensuring smooth processes for animal care and placements.
· Ability to launch and help develop a new, exciting and influential role within our organisation.
· A valid driver’s licence and ability to transport animals as needed.
Desirable Criteria includes:
· Proven experience in animal care, sheltering, or pet services.
· Formal qualifications in animal welfare, or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise in the industry.
· Understanding of animal wellness and behaviour to provide informed, basic level guidance and support.
