About the Role

As the Lead HCM Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising Victoria University’s Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system. You will be responsible for system configuration, maintenance, and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems. Your expertise will contribute to process improvements, system performance, and data accuracy, driving an enhanced user experience for employees and HR professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and manage release cycles for Oracle HCM modules

Provide expert advice on system capabilities, process enhancements, and third-party integrations

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure operational efficiency

Develop SQL scripts and OTBI reports to optimise system functionality and insights

Engage with internal stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers to maintain security, compliance, and system reliability

Coach and mentor team members to build technical expertise

This is a full-time (36.75 hours per week), fixed-term position at HEP 9 ($128,446 – $133,636 per annum + 17% employer superannuation). The contract is currently set to conclude on 12 December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

About You

We are looking for a solutions-focused Lead HCM Systems Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will bring:

Extensive experience administering Oracle HCM, including CoreHR, Recruitment, Time & Labour, and Absence Management modules

A solid understanding of HR processes and their technological applications

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex system issues

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams

A track record of coaching and mentoring team members to enhance system capability

Proficiency in SQL scripting and report development, with a keen eye for data integrity and insights
