About the Role:

As the P&C Systems Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising People & Culture systems at Victoria University. You will oversee system configuration, troubleshoot technical issues, implement process architecture improvements, and ensure seamless integration with various platforms.

Your technical expertise will drive system performance, deliver innovative solutions, and enhance functionality to align with the University’s strategic objectives. You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, managing compliance, system audits, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee HR systems configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.

Lead technical troubleshooting and resolution for system-related issues.

Provide subject matter expertise on system improvements and architecture.

Extract and analyse data for migration, integration, and audits.

Engage stakeholders and vendors to align with University objectives.

This is a full-time (36.75 hours per week), fixed-term position at HEP 9 ($128,446 - $133,636 per annum) + 17% employer superannuation. The contract period is currently set to conclude on 12 December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive technical leader who excels in problem-solving and delivering innovative solutions in fast-paced environments. You will have extensive expertise in HR and payroll systems and a strategic mindset to anticipate, plan, and respond effectively to business needs.

Collaboration is key for this role, so strong relationship-building skills and excellent communication abilities are essential.

Key Attributes:

Proven expertise in HR/payroll systems integration and configuration.

Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with Oracle HCM and AscenderPay (desirable).
