Work. Do you have a passion for commercial contract excellence? Come and join Sunwater as our Credit Officer where you will be responsible for providing credit support to the Commercial Team including debtor management to enable long term, sustainable value from our contracts. This position is a 6-month fixed term role, with the potential of extension.

In addition, you will:

  • Manage debtor follow ups to minimise potential of bad debt losses.
  • Provide reporting, analysis and advice in accordance with industry best practice on all credit issues.
  • Work with the Finance team to monitor doubtful debt provision requirements, quantifying Sunwater’s bad debt position and providing recommendations and advice to management on appropriate options for debt recovery.
  • Provide credit risk analysis of new and existing customers including contractors and large commercial entities to advise management of emerging trends and minimise risk to Sunwater.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills with ability to negotiate positive outcomes for the business and the organisation. You will have previous credit risk management experience in a similar environment, the proven capability to manage credit management and assessment systems and knowledge of legal issues, laws, procedures, rules and documentation regarding Individual Bankruptcy, provision of security and insolvency processes.
