About the Role
We’re on the hunt for a hands-on, whip-smart Operations Manager to take the reins of daily operations at our growing building materials business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves streamlining systems, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and optimise daily operations across sales, warehouse, and dispatch teams

Ensure timely order fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and smooth logistics

Manage a 3-month inventory planning cycle, stock levels, and consumables

Work with the warehouse and logistics team to source, vet, and negotiate with freight providers

Track orders and workflows to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction

Follow up on outstanding payments and manage account receivables

Assist in margin analysis, pricing updates, and operational cost controls

Be the all-rounder glue between departments—solving problems before they escalate

What You’ll Need

Strong operational or logistics experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing

Great communication and leadership skills—you’ll liaise with everyone from forklift drivers to clients

A proactive mindset and knack for keeping things moving smoothly

Good systems knowledge and organisational skills

Strong initiative, lateral thinking

Bonus: experience with high compliance building materials, fire ratings, cladding

You will work hand in hand with the National Sales Manager as well as the companys Director to make the ultimate trio, poised to dominate the niche industry that we sit within... And we're moving fast!
