Pool Structural Foreman
Jack Boyd Pools Pty Ltd
Posted 20 days ago
Ever rocked up to a site where the steelwork was half-done, the formwork was out of whack, and the foreman just shrugged it off?
Yeah, we don’t do that here.
We run clean, well-sequenced jobs with good trades and solid communication. We’re looking for a proper pool structural foreman—someone who knows how to read plans, manage steel, formwork, reinforcing, and concrete pours. No shortcuts, no excuses—just quality work that stands the test of time.
This isn’t for someone looking to clock off early or handball the tough stuff. This is for a genuine foreman who knows the ins and outs of structural work, from set-out to formwork, reinforcing, and concrete pours. You solve problems on-site and take full ownership of the job from start to finish.
You’ve managed complex pool builds before, worked with steel and formwork, and likely had a few discussions over misalignment or tricky access.
But you still nailed it, because your work is the foundation of everything that follows—without solid structural work and formwork, the pool just won’t hold.
You’re not here to “make it work.” You’re here to do it properly—with a team that’s invested in the result.
No bodgy reinforcing, no “good enough” formwork.
This is high-end work on premium pools—and we’re chasing someone with the pride, precision, and leadership to match that every day.
If that’s you, read on.
About Us:
We’re not your average pool company.
We build outdoor centerpieces, not cookie-cutter backyard pools.
Architects trust us. Builders choose us. Our work speaks for itself.
We partner with some of the best names in the industry, delivering premium pools focused on detail, design, and durability.
We don’t do rushed jobs, budget blowouts, or patchwork fixes.
We’re a values-driven company with a clear mission: grow a tight, in-house crew of 20 absolute guns by 2030—every one of them aligned to premium execution, no exceptions.
Our crew is sharp, experienced, and drama-free.
We’ve got projects booked solid, systems dialed in, and clients who expect the best.
You’ll be stepping into a team where the leadership knows what it’s like to be on the tools—and respects the trades that make everything work.
You’ll have the gear, the support, and the freedom to do your job properly.
And when the job’s done, you’ll walk off site knowing everything’s structurally sound, built to last, and ready for the next step.
About the Role:
• Set-out pools to exact specifications—ensure all lines, levels, and locations are spot-on for steel and formwork placement.
• Lead the installation of formwork for pools, ensuring all angles, heights, and corners are tight, square, and ready for the pour.
• Oversee the reinforcing process—ensure steel is properly placed, tied, and meets structural specifications.
• Manage concrete pours—whether it’s traditional pouring or spray concrete (shotcrete), ensuring everything’s poured to spec, properly cured, and free from defects.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth sequencing, timing, and execution.
• Interpret and follow construction drawings, ensuring accuracy throughout the formwork, reinforcing, and pour stages.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure all structural work is up to spec.
• Organize materials and resources efficiently to prevent delays and maintain a steady workflow.
• Lead by example in safety, quality, and professionalism—ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
Who’s This For?
• You’ve got 5+ years’ experience in pool structural work or civil construction, with a proven ability to lead a team.
• You have experience with set-out, formwork, reinforcing, and concrete pours (including spray concrete).
• You’re experienced in interpreting plans, making sure everything aligns for a flawless result.
• You’re comfortable managing all aspects of the structural process—set-out, formwork, reinforcing, and concrete pours—and ensuring each stage is done to perfection.
• You’ve worked on premium residential and commercial pool projects before, and you know how to handle the pressure of custom builds.
• You’ve led teams and know how to keep trades on track and motivated while maintaining a high standard of work.
• You know how to manage a site, solve problems, and keep the job flowing smoothly without a hitch.
• You’ve got your own tools (or close to it), a license, a white card, and a solid pair of work boots.
• You’re fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions—this job isn’t for the faint of heart.
• You know how to keep a clean site and maintain a professional appearance around clients and other trades.
If That’s You...
You’ll get solid pay, consistent work, and a real team—not just a sticker on the toolbox that says “respect the trade.”
We don’t do freeloaders.
We don’t do egos.
We do high-quality work with a tight crew that backs each other, shows up, and takes pride in every pool we finish.
The projects are lined up.
The diggers are ready.
The team’s prepped.
We just need a gun foreman who can match the standard.
If that’s you—don’t just hit “apply” and vanish.
Send us a photo of a job you’ve worked on—something that shows your ability to manage structural integrity, clean formwork, and a finished product you’re proud of.
No photo, no job.
No real experience, no interview.
No generic cover letters.
We’re not hiring admin—we’re hiring a foreman who delivers results on-site.
And if you think “near enough is good enough,”
this isn’t your gig.
