Located in the heart of Sydney’s Lower North Shore, The Albert Hotel is Mosman’s only boutique hotel. Known for timeless charm and modern elegance, we are passionate about delivering personalised guest experiences at every hour.
We’re looking for a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hotel during afternoon and overnight shifts.
About the Role
As the key front office presence during the afternoon and overnight hours, you'll deliver exceptional service and ensure the smooth, professional operation of the hotel. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional who enjoys providing calm, guest-focused service in a boutique setting.
Shifts required:
- Afternoon: 4:00pm – 10:00pm
- Overnight: 10:00pm – 7:00am
(including weekends and public holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Greet late-arriving guests with warmth and professionalism
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, and room changes efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries and phone calls with exceptional etiquette
- Serve food and beverages from our Day-Menu as requested
- Reconcile daily transactions and prepare end-of-day reports
- Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of lobby during night hours
- Respond to issues or emergencies calmly and effectively
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or overnight role
- Fluent English – written, spoken, and telephone communication
- Exceptional telephone etiquette
- Polished appearance and approachable demeanour
- Detail-focused with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Confident using hotel reservation and property management systems
- RSA and Food Handlers (Basic) certificates, or willingness to obtain
- Availability to work afternoon and overnight shifts, including weekends, and public holidays
- Australian residency or valid work rights required
