We are looking for a skilled person to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist (known as a Chiropractic Assistant - CA). The successful applicant will have had previous experience in this type of role and be comfortable in an office environment demonstrating good administrative skills as well as the necessary peoples' skills to be able to communicate well with our patients.

The person we are looking for appreciates the importance of this role as the portal of entry for our patients into the practice and therefore we hold this person in high regard due to their skillset, passion for the position, and enthusiasm for the role.

This role could also be suited to an existing Practice Manager who is just as comfortable at the front desk with reception duties as in the office with administrative duties.

The successful applicant will

Is able to quickly learn and adhere to our office procedures, protocols, and systems.

Has a good understanding of chiropractic

This position is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week with alternating morning (starting at 8am and finishing at 1:30pm) and afternoon (starting at 1pm and finishing at 6:30pm) shifts. This position also requires the occasional Saturday morning shift when covering for others. The ability to cover shifts at short notice due to holidays or illness is required. The position would probably not suit someone who has a second job due to this requirement.

The successful applicant will be ready to start within 2 weeks.

The basic skill requirement is the successful applicant will have intermediate to advance level skills and experience in front desk reception duties. Being able to utilise scripts and adhere to office policies, procedures, and protocols is a necessary requirement. These skills are imperative to the role the successful applicant will play.

The CA is the portal of entry to the practice and the right person will empower and grow the practice as a valuable member of our team through their skills and attitude.

It is expected the applicant will have the experience with computers, office administration, and telephone management necessary for this role. If you know you do, we would like to meet you.

The role can lead to practice management as well for the right person who shows leadership and initiative. If you already have the required skills to manage the practice this will be taken into consideration with renumeration. However, your primary role will be at the front desk with practice management secondary.

Despite the above skill requirements, we are looking for the “right” person as skills can be taught, attitude and a desire to succeed in the role, not so much. Previous experience as a receptionist/office manager is still a requirement but the “right” person will be the “right” fit for our needs.

Previously, we have had success from those applicants coming from industries such as the travel industry, event management, and some aspects of hospitality. Again, it’s all about the attitude and desire to succeed.
