Key Duties:

Producing and maintaining the NCIS Information Architecture.

Describe and document what, how the information will be shared for targeted user communities.

Ensuring information sharing across applications, business processes and analytics and reporting systems.

Design the conceptual data models, logical data models and business process models that enable information provisioning and consumption.

Communicating information architecture to partner agencies, focus groups and user communities to facilitate dataset onboarding and sharing.

Working with partner agencies to co-design their data provisioning and consumption models, processes and data integration patterns.

Improve data discoverability, data quality and the understanding of data.

Providing information curation service i.e. providing relevant, digestible and contextualised information to the business.

Providing assurance that technical solutions and information architecture are aligned for the designed business outcomes.

Working with solutions architects to ensure the physical data architecture and application design support the information architecture.

Assisting solutions architects to design the data integration technical framework and data and processing pipelines.

Assisting in translating conceptual and logical data models into physical data models.

Providing guidance to data analysts in data profiling to build up the understanding of data.

Assisting business to develop new capabilities sharing more data, better data with more people and the right access controls.

Assisting business and delivery teams to manage changes of data semantics and structure over the time.

Working with data engineers and solution architects to design reporting and analytics frameworks.

Working with business intelligence developers and data analysts in the development of reporting and analytics applications.

Essential Criteria:

Experience in developing Information Architecture artefacts – data models, class diagrams, taxonomies, standards, classifications and transformations.

Experience in applying Information Architecture practices in an agile and dynamic environment.

Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A track record of delivery while working within a project team.
