Our major field of business are telecommunication and networking projects based in WA and partly in other national states. We provide design, installation, commissioning and integration services to the major carriers and equipment vendors.

The Opportunity:

The company looking for qualified Telecommunication Field Engineer or Telecommunication Technicians. The candidate must have good knowledge of plan, network design, setting up, commissioning, and troubleshooting skills on various telecommunication equipment and services. This role is essential part of NBN’s FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) project.

Job description

Your role as a Telecommunication Filed Engineer will be crucial in planning, designing, fault finding, troubleshooting, commissions and monitors complex telecommunications networks and devices. You also need to provide technical guidance, supervision and identifies problems also initiates action to resolve them. Your responsibilities will include:

-Installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunication systems and equipment, including radio, mobile, satellite, Wi-Fi, and other network infrastructures.

-Servicing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with communication systems, such as microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, and satellite.

-Performing testing on communication networks and systems.

-Configuring and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, databases, and operating systems.

-Installing, testing, and maintaining aerials, wires, cables, and radio and mobile phone antennas.

-Laying and connecting cables, configuring networks, and installing equipment.

-Recording details, locations, and status of inventories, parts, equipment, and instruments.

-Monitoring the performance of telecommunications networks and equipment.

-Ensuring all installations and maintenance activities comply with Australian safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices, including electrical safety, work health and safety (WHS), and telecommunications codes.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 year experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Relevant certifications and qualifications in telecommunications or related field (preferable Certificate IV, and above).

NBN enable qualified
• Good knowledge of WHS requirements and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as Multimeters, PON meter, OTDR, Gas detectors, Cable locators, and other manual handling tools.
• Experience in reading and interpreting Telecommunication cable network maps.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Good Computer skills desirable.
• Full time working rights.

Required Tickets/Licenses:
• Australian driver's license.
• Construction Card (White Card) required.
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
• First aid & CPR.
• Confined Spaces.
• Cabling and testing certificates required.
• Identity, Locate and Protect underground services.

Police check must be clear with no conviction.
